In memory of Marc Burns

Marc passed away on June 22, 2022, aged 49, after being diagnosed with a brain tumour 18 months ago.

I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Marc since 2019, he was a wonderful friend and colleague with razor sharp wit and unending kindness. I hold so many brilliant memories of our time together and miss him terribly.

Marc was one of the very first Tech Champions at the Digital Culture Network, supporting so many Arts and Culture organisations across England with his specialist knowledge of Digital Marketing and technology. He cared deeply about the North East - quickly building awareness of our team, making connections and supporting organisations in his region faster than any of the rest of us.

Marc was a talented musician and artist and always talked about the importance of making the arts as accessible as possible. I hope to continue his legacy with the same values.

His partner, Ali, has set up a JustGiving page for Brain Tumour Research and Cobalt Studios for anyone who wishes to make a contribution in memory of the one and only Marc Burns.
