Weeknotes #35

This week we’ve released two new data collection and insight roles, and one project coordinator job at the Digital Culture Network. Come join us!

Digital Culture Network vacancies

The Digital Culture Network is expanding with three new roles, two will support the arts and cultural sector to make better use of data and insights, and the third will help deliver partnership events.

As the Tech Champion for Data Analytics and Insight, I can’t wait to geek out with the new data peeps!

The new data roles will help organisations to improve their ability to collect data from a range of sources - including in-person and online audiences from their own tools and new ones such as Illuminate, the Audience Data Platform from Arts Council England.

One is focused on how to get data, the other is what to do with it.

Conversations this week

Modern Art Oxford - Sue Chamberlin, Exchanges, 2021. Photo by Bharat Patel

On Tuesday I spoke to Clare Stimpson (Head of Digital and Communications) at Modern Art Oxford about Event tracking in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and reporting functions.

Wednesday I caught up with Khadija Niang (Digital and Production Coordinator) at The Roberts Institute of Art who is making great progress building reports in Looker Studio.

On Thursday I met with Sarah Isaacs (Digital & Data Manager) at China Plate Theatre. We set things up together in GA4 last year so this week we checked the setup and configuration, discussed UTM parameters, and ways to get historical data out of Universal Analytics.

Friday I spoke with Jack Bond (Communications and Marketing Manager) at Lancaster Arts. Last week we set up GA4 with PatronBase, so we looked through the new eommerce data coming through.
