Weeknotes #26
Itโs a super short work week for me as Iโm off to Amsterdam for a long weekend. Hereโs a brief overview of Monday and Tuesday:
Well this week didnโt turn out the way I expected. You know that nightmare when you can't find your passport, you turn your house, car and campervan upside down (multiple times) and frantically rack you brain thinking through every action you have taken in the last two months? ๐me๐
Instead of visiting the Stedelijk and cat museums, cycling around the city and eating delicious things - Iโve been stuck in England. ๐ญ

Coffee break with Dean
Last week I went to Manchester to see Dean Shaw (Content Tech Champion) and Laura Harris (Events Co-ordinator) at The Hive and shoot this video:
Please come along to my Getting started with Google Analytics 4 webinar on 22 February 2023, itโs free!
Digital Culture Awards
The secret category has been released - the Tech Championsโ Choice award!
Each of the Tech Champions has nominated an organisation or individual who has shown outstanding commitment to digital skills development or the implementation of digital tech.
The longlist for this category is made up of some of the organisations and individuals we've supported over the last year, who we feel have shown remarkable dedication to growing their digital skills or capabilities.
Head to our website to meet the nominees!
New Tech Champions
We have two new Search Engine Marketing specialists join the team this week: Monica and Mo. They are joining as a job share, with a Thursday crossover day.
๐ Monica Tomas
๐ Muhammad Momin
Both Monica and Mo are based in our Newcastle office. Itโs fantastic to have North East representation in the team again since we lost the brilliance that was Marc Burns.
Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport
This week a new Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) was announced with Michelle Donelan appointed as itโs head. Lucy Frazer has been appointed Secretary of State in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
With digital dropped from DCMS, what does this mean for our sector? Will it impact the Digital Culture Network?
